Sample Extraction Procedure

To initiate the analysis, homogenised stools are subjected to extraction using the versatile Stool Sample Application System containing IDK Extract® universal stool extraction buffer, which also finds applicability in various other faecal assays. This extraction process is characterised by its efficiency, cleanliness, and precision, providing a ready-to-analyse sample in minutes. This streamlined process allows for the rapid pre-analytical stages of lactoferrin measurement and automation of the assay itself.

The extracted stool samples demonstrate stability at different temperature ranges, maintaining their integrity at room temperature (15-30 °C), 2-8 °C, and even at -20 °C for a period of 9 days. This extended stability period enhances the convenience of sample handling and allows for flexibility in the laboratory workflow.
